1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, measure how you use the site, and deliver certain features. Cookies are governed in the EU/EEA by the ePrivacy Directive (the “Cookie Law”) and GDPR, in California by the CCPA/CPRA, in Canada by PIPEDA, and in Brazil by the LGPD.

Beyond cookies, we also use similar technologies such as local storage (to remember your consent choice) and server-side logs. This policy covers all such technologies.

3. Cookie & Storage Inventory

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

5.1 Our Consent Banner

When you first visit BayesCore, a consent banner is displayed. You can:

  • Accept all — enables both essential and analytics cookies.
  • Reject all — enables essential cookies only; analytics are blocked.
  • Customize — toggle analytics on or off individually.

5.2 Withdraw or Change Consent

To withdraw or update your cookie consent at any time, clear your browser’s localStorage for bayescore.com (the key is bayescore_consent). The banner will re-appear on your next visit.

In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites → bayescore.com → Delete data.

5.3 Browser-Level Controls

You can also control cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling all cookies may prevent essential features (login, CSRF protection) from working.

5.4 Google Analytics Opt-Out

You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on which prevents Google Analytics from collecting data across all websites.

6. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy when we add new cookies, change existing ones, or when legal requirements change. Material updates will be communicated via a refreshed consent banner. Check the “Last updated” date above for the current version.
